Blown away by how good of a starting box this is. I am an experienced DM and this was purchased to 'explore' DnD with my daughter and a couple of her friends.

Amazing content, nice cut outs, battle maps, tokens and character sheets.

The previous 'starter sets' pale in comparison and instead of a half empty box you get a massive collection of stuff to run the games.

The 'adventures' themselves arent... really adventures, they are more 3 Sandbox settings that you stick together (start at city - get a quest, go through wildreness to the caves, do quest in caves, return through wilderness). So for 'basic' old school stories this is very good and probably better than a 1 off mini story.

Great job WotC... this is a -good- product.

Lovely small expansion. A few cards that change some key elements and make the game more fun and dynamic. Good value for money as well.

What a great game! Got it for my 12 yo daughter who really loves ancient Greece, Gods, Heroes and the like. Despite the game being a bit complex for her she picked it up quickly. We both love the aesthetic and the theme and overall the rules are great.

Main issues is that setup does take quite some time (maybe after a dozen games it wont but so far even after understanding the rules, its the thing that bothers us) and that the 2 player mode in essence gives 2 factions to each player. I understand the logic for it but it does mean you end up effectively controlling 2 teams to make a 'faux' 4 player game.

As much as I want to have options (Army Painter, Vallejo, Others), the Citadel Chaos Black was, is and will be king of undercoating sprays. If nothing else, its consistent, sticks properly and does so even outside perfect conditions.

Does what it says on the tin... but not for long. Drybrushing is a rough process... and after drybrushing a dozen minis it started to frail. Dont get me wrong, for 20zl thats fine and it still works fine... probably will last for the rest of the models I want to do but at the same time its nothing special.

Bought as a family game. We all enjoy it but I have to admit it gets a bit repetitive. I imagine it probably works better with a bigger group. Still, its easy enough for a 9 year old to play it and entertaining enough even for casual boardgamers.

Perfect game for both family and friends. Played it with a 9 year old and she loved it. It became our favorite family game which is funny cause I have been for ever trying to get my wife into 'RPGs' and this counts as a gate way ;)

Amazing for rank and file troops or for when you want to get something done to tabletop standard quickly and efficiently.

Makes painting mass troops amazing...

BUT it also helps those of us that arent good enough but want to have decently paid minis.

GW has turned it around by putting great content in their latest boxes. Even if you dont need both sides, this is a good box to have as it contains the tokens and the playing field.

A+.

Only annoying thing is that not all positionals are available in the sprues so you need to 'trade' or buy the extra catches/blitzers etc.

Very good choice for 3 different type of brushes. Value for money!
